I had heard at one time or another that “it would be fantastic if the notes we made on our iPhones could be integrated with our Macs when we sync,” because at the time Google was the only “comprehensive” UI for such a thing.
Since then, it is a natural occurence, and I’ve yet to hear anyone talking about it. However, I’m not pleased.
Whenever I sync my iPhone with my Mac, it downloads and saves the Notes I’ve made and stores them in the oddest place: my Mail client. Before I get into it, I am very aware that I could just turn off the “sync Notes” option on my iPhone’s sync settings via iTunes, but I like the idea, I just don’t like the way it does it.
When I open my mail, my Notes are scattered everywhere. And they’re not in any “particular order,” save the fact that it tells me a “date.” The date is often not the date it was made, nor the date I first synced after making/editing it. It’s usually the last date I synced period. I’d rather not have these things cluttering up my Mailbox, as it makes my business running more complicated, and the only sense of organization I’ve managed is to group them all together at the top of my list, putting them all before my new messages. Not practical.
So here is my question: Does anyone know how to adjust this, or is it a lost cause?
Dakoba: Hey bro.
Specialbus: Hey what’s up?
Dakoba: Not much. you?
Specialbus: just screwin around before work.
Dakoba: ah
Dakoba: … Does that file under dedication or obsession?
Specialbus: …
Specialbus: …
Specialbus: obsession.
Dakoba: dang. i do that too…
I resolve to
Minimize my belongings
Pay off one credit card balance
I know you probably are looking at this and wondering why there are only two. I think, as part of my effort to minimize my belongings, I should also minimize my goals to realistic and thoroughly achievable situations.
I know that I can minimize my belongings, I just have to do it.
I know that I can pay off one credit card balance, I just have to focus on it.
Both of these situations require me to narrow my field of view, which is something that will reduce stress in my life as well. I’m pretty excited for this fresh start, as I hope you all are.
Happy New Year, everyone!
